Neil O'Toole

Neil O'Toole practices Workers' Compensation law on behalf of injured workers and has served as the president of the Workers' Compensation Education Association (WCEA) for two separate two-year terms. He is currently a WCEA board member. Neil has been appointed to the Colorado Division of Workers' Compensation Medical Treatment Task Forces for neck, back, shoulder, cumulative trauma, and brain injuries. He has argued multiple cases concerning Workers' Compensation either directly, or as amicus, before Colorado's Supreme Court and Court of Appeals. He also successfully argued before the Federal Court of Appeals and U.S. Supreme Court on First Amendment issues involving the evaluation of citizen initiatives. Neil was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1979 and has practiced in the fields of workers' compensation and social security disability for over a quarter of a century. Neil was a Peace Corp volunteer in India 1966-68, after which he worked overseas for CARE for six years providing food relief and development assistance in numerous developing and war-torn countries.

John Sbarbaro

John Sbarbaro practices law in Denver and is a partner at the Law Office of O'Toole and Sbarbaro, P.C. He graduated from Grinnell College in 1985 and received his law degree from the University of Denver, College of Law in 1988. Upon graduation John clerked for the Honorable Robert H. McWilliams, United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. Thereafter, John worked as an associate at Kirkland & Ellis, as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado's First Judicial District, and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado in both the criminal and civil sections. John is a current and past Board Member of the Colorado Bar Association, Workers' Compensation Section, where he was the Chair in 2005-2006. John is a Board Member of the Workers' Compensation Education Association since 1998, was the past President between 2008 and 2010, and prior to that time was Vice-President. In 2008, 2010, and 2011 John was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers.
